Unfortunately, it’s not always possible to store your valuable sports car, convertible, or classic car safely and dry. Sometimes, you’re forced to leave your beloved vehicle outside for a while. In such cases, a good outdoor car cover is definitely worth considering.

When your car is stationary for a longer period of time, an outdoor cover can protect against UV rays, which can cause the car’s paint to fade. It also prevents dirt, pollen, and bird droppings from accumulating. As a result, the car stays cleaner for longer and requires less frequent washing. Additionally, it can protect the car from scratches and minor dents caused by weather conditions or passing individuals. All of this helps maintain the car’s value and reduces long-term maintenance costs.

Waterproof car cover

The various car covers from DS COVERS are 100% waterproof. It prevents rainwater from seeping through the cover and reaching the car. Prolonged exposure to water or moisture can lead to rust formation, mold growth, or damage to electrical components. Before being covered, please always dry and clean the car completely.

Breathable car cover for outdoor use

Despite the waterproof material we use for our various car covers, moisture can still accumulate under an outdoor car cover in one of the following ways:

The car has not fully cooled down when the cover is placed over it. This causes a temperature difference between the inside and outside of the cover, leading to condensation.

The car is parked on a damp surface or above a puddle. As this moisture evaporates or rises, it can accumulate under the car cover.

The car is not completely dry when the cover is placed. For example, do not put on a car cover right after washing the car.

The material of our car covers is waterproof in the sense that the middle PU layer does not allow water to pass from the outside in. Conversely, from the inside out, the material is slightly breathable and capable of wicking away moisture. Our MAXX car covers, with a universal fit, are also equipped with covered ventilation openings that allow moisture to escape. For prolonged use, we recommend regularly checking the condition underneath the cover.

Car covers for summer

Summer is the perfect season for a convertible, classic car, or sports car. However, this season also brings a few things that you’d rather not see on your vehicle, such as pollen, tree sap, and dust (Sahara sand). If a car has to be left outside for a longer period during the summer, it can be wise to protect it from these elements with a good car cover.
