Car cover for winter

Most enthusiast-cars are stored safely and dry in a garage or other covered facility during the winter. If such a facility is (temporarily) not available, it is a good idea to protect a classic car, convertible or sports car against winter showers with a winter car cover. In this article we would like to explain why.

Car cover for snow

If snow falls on a car in the winter, it can freeze or build up on the surface of the car, which can damage the paintwork and cause corrosion. A good car cover snow prevents direct contact between snow and the car, which prevents this and possible freezing of vulnerable parts.

Car cover for frost

At temperatures below zero, vulnerable parts - such as windscreen wipers and door seals - can easily freeze or break. Because a car cover creates a layer between the cold air and the car, this will happen less quickly. The temperature under the cover will also be slightly higher than outside, which is good for the car battery, among other things. A cover also prevents the car windows from freezing. This saves you scraping if you take the car out from under the cover for a winter drive.

Car cover for hail

A winter shower that can cause considerable damage is hail, resulting in dents, scratches or even cracks in the paintwork. A hail-resistant car cover reduces the impact that hailstones can have on a car, which helps prevent such damage. The chance of hail damage to windows and mirrors is also significantly reduced by using a good car cover.

Waterproof car cover

The most common type of precipitation is rain, even in winter. Long-term exposure to moisture can cause a variety of car problems such as rust, mold, or malfunctioning electrical systems. A waterproof car cover ensures that rain showers have no chance to cause these problems. If you have any questions regarding this article, please feel free to contact us.

Windshield cover for snow

As an alternative to an 'all-over' car cover, a windshield cover for snow could also be chosen. The BLIZZ windshield cover protects important parts of a car from snow and frost: the windshield, wipers and side mirrors. This saves you from scraping after a winter shower. The cover is also easier and quicker to put on and take off than a full car cover.
